Communication Skills and Understanding People Behaviour – Open Training Session 2025

Introduction

Communicating means getting messages across, listening and being understood. As well as reducing environmental noise that stop the messages from being received, good communication involves taking steps to ensure they are understood. It usually also involves trying to get them believed and accepted. This means trying to create a climate that helps the other person listen well, not a defensive climate in which they reject or ignore our message because of the way we express it. Communication also implies being receptive to what others are saying, both verbally and in body language.

Listening skills is perhaps one of the most important skills used when communicating with others. Everyone loves to be listened to, but unfortunately we never seem to be doing enough listening.

Identifying people’s behaviors is one of the essential skills for all professionals who deal with colleagues, clients, suppliers, subordinates or others as part of their jobs.

In this training programme the trainees will learn a technique to understand the behaviour of the people they encounter and to become aware as well of their personal behavioural traits. Also, at the end of the training session, trainees are equipped and capable of using an instrument for better understanding people and interact accordingly.
